The Control Board is an OEM component specifically designed for Frigidaire electric dryers. It regulates the operation of all heating, motor, and sensor functions based on cycle selections.

Causes of a bad control board can include moisture damage over time inhibiting reliable electrical connections or surging overload circuitry beyond repair.

Symptoms of a bad control board include:

  • Dryer fails to start or operates intermittently between cycles
  • Inability to advance through cycle steps or timed durations
  • Erratic temperature readings preventing adequate drying
  • Control buttons/display lights cease responding

This OEM Frigidaire replacement is also compatible with Electrolux, Gibson, Kelvinator, and Kenmore dryer models. Replace promptly before requiring additional repairs down the road.

Leslie for Model Number FAQG7011KW0

The lights on the Frigidaire gas dryer's control panel will come up by itself showing the previous setting. After I pressed the Cancel button, the lights will be off, but will come back on after a few minutes. If I press Start, it will start tumbling, but after about 20 minutes, the tumbling will stop and then the lights on the control panel start flashing. Does this mean the control board is bad? We have been replacing the control board every three or four years with the same symptoms. Could it be something else that is wrong although each time the symptoms were gone after we replaced the control board? Model # FAQG7011KW0

Answer

Leslie, based on the information provided, it does sound like the user control 137070840NH has failed. With the user control behaving as if a button is being pressed, the buttons can be inspected to identify if they may be wedged and preventing the control from operating normally. If the buttons are not sticking or wedged, the user control would be the most likely cause of failure.
