Symptoms of a bad control board include:

  • Inability to advance through cycle steps or timed durations
  • Erratic temperature readings preventing adequate drying
  • Control buttons/display lights cease responding

This OEM Frigidaire replacement is also compatible with Electrolux, Gibson, Kelvinator, and Kenmore dryer models. Replace promptly before requiring additional repairs down the road.

Roni for Model Number faqg7011kr0

My 2.5 years old Frigidaire FAQG7011KR0 dryer stoped giving heat. Diagnostic returns error code "E4A" - Program Timeout Fault". Dryer Test Sheet for this code advises to "Check for anything that would extend dry times such as: no heat, restricted vent, blower fan blade broken or loose, dryer installed in closet with solid door, or bad connection in mosture sensor bar circuit or dirty bars". None of these seem to be applicable. Advised resolution: "Replace electric control". Should I replace Control Board AP4452818 (137070840) or something else? Thanks Roni

Answer

Roni, The error code is indicating that the max time had exceeded for the cycle. If the unit is not heating then this will cause the fault. You will want to check the heater, the thermal fuses and thermostat for continuity. If any do not have continuity then replace that part. Once the heating issue is corrected, if the error code then comes back then you would want to replace the control board.
