Eric for Model Number Frigidaire Side by Side (not sure of model number) Ice maker will not fill with water. I have water at door dispenser. When ice maker is manually filled. Icemaker processes and harvest ice fine but will not auto fill. What should I look at first?
Answer Eric, check the water inlet valve first. Use a multi meter, set on 120 VAC. disconnect the wires from the ice maker solenoid on the valve, attach the meter leads to the wire terminals. Test cycle the ice maker, when the control reaches the fill increment of the cycle, you should "see" 120 VAC across the two wires. If you have the voltage, the fill valve solenoid has failed, and the valve will need to be replaced. If you do not have the voltage, you will need to check the fill level switch or replace the ice maker. Thanks, Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, May 25, 2018
