Brad for Model Number FFHS2611PFCA Okay, my ice machine is not getting water. We had this issue before, and we replaced the ice machine. This fixed the problem. About 1 year later, our ice machine quit getting water again. I replaced the ice machine - this didn't fix the problem. I replaced the water inlet valve - this didn't fix the problem. My water dispenser has always worked. I tested the diode, and the voltage meter is reading about 120 at both brown and yellow terminals. Am I able to test the green terminal? What should I consider next? Should I replace the diode or the circuit board? Also, I tested the last water inlet valve, and there was continuity at all terminals. Thanks in advance.
Answer Brad, Cycle the icemaker and test to see if there is 120 vac getting to the valve. If there is no power to the valve then this would most likely be a wiring issue but could be that a problem with the valve caused the icemaker to fail. Also check to make sure that the fill tube is not frozen. If there is power then the fill tube being frozen could be an issue. Read More...
