Marc S for Model Number ffhs2611lwf My ice maker was not getting water but because it has made crazy noises since new I decided to replace ice maker, and inlet valve. I have water to valve and to door dispenser but no water going to ice maker. Line is open. I saw a video on ytube for my model and the guy replaced diode. Is this what I need. Very frustrated with my fridge.
Answer Marc, While the diode could be the issue there is usually an issue of water coming out of the dispenser when the icemaker is calling for ice. For this issue double check the fill tube to make sure that the fill tube is not frozen and check to make sure that the icemaker is getting 120 vac to it.
