Michael for Model Number FRS6HF6JQO There was no water flow to dispenser or ice maker, replaced filter and for just a few seconds had very good water flow then, and air bubble, and the flow diminished to about 30% of previous level. The I replaced the water inlet valve with no improvement in water flow or flow to icemaker. I did not replace the diode. should I have done that or should I replace the water supply tube and valve?
Answer Michael, you will want to ensure that all of the air has been removed from the water line. When installing a new filter, you will want to dispense a gallon of water, wait for an hour, then dispense another gallon of water. This ensures that as much of the air is removed as possible because air pockets can diminish the flow of water until they are flushed out. Read More...
