Phil H. for Model Number FFSS2615TE0 I am having issues with my ice maker. i believe the problem to be diode, so to test this, can i switch both tubing and connectors between the yellow and green solenoids to test this? if the diode for my ice maker is good, i should be able to dispense water thru the solenoid, correct? my water dispenser solenoid is working fine, so if the diode is bad, shouldn't i be getting water to my ice maker now that i've switched?
Answer Phil, The diode would typically create an issue that when you dispense water through the door it will come out of the icemaker or vice-versa. If the valve does not energize when the dispenser lever is pushed and it hooked up to the ice maker water valve then the issue will most likely be the water valve is at fault. Read More...
