Ted Krehbiel for Model Number FLSC238DSB The main water valve makes a loud noise and no water is dispensed as well as the ice maker is not getting water either. Testing the water valve wire harness, the diodes appear to be testing properly using continuity. All common connections have continuity as well. However, when the dispenser lever is pressed, 120v is observed at both the dispenser and icemaker terminals, while the main valve terminal only is carrying 50v. Having normal voltage at both terminals while pressing the dispenser suggests that one of the diodes is shorting, but continuity testing does not show this result. I'm trying to understand if this is a diode, or a power control board issue.
Answer Ted, If there is not 120 vac to the main valve, this would be a control board issue especially when the ice valve is getting power at the same time as the dispenser. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, February 15, 2023
