Chris for Model Number FRS23LH5DS2 Still no ice. On my fridge, I orginally replaced the water valve assembly due to a bad ice maker water solenoid. I replaced the whole valve assembly, and then i was getting water at the door AND water was going into the ice maker everytime i called water at the door. So I replaced the diode with this one as directed. Now I get water at the door, and no more water automatically going to the ice maker....so thats good. However, i've had the diode installed for 24 hrs, but no ice from the ice maker. I removed the icemaker last night, and thawed it out under warm water. I reinstalled the icemaker back last night, but still no ice as of today. No water has entered the ice maker. Do I have a bad ice maker as well, or is there a trick to getting the ice maker to start functioning again? Do I need to set the +/- setting on the ice maker to something specific? I have yet to touch/change that through this whole repair process. Do I need to adjust/change the gears in the front of the ice maker?
Answer Hello Chris. If the valve is new, and the fill tube is not clogged, you will need to order and replace the icemaker in the unit. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, May 8, 2013
