The stove glide is an OEM component for Frigidaire ranges and cooktops. It refers to the smooth glide plates or levels located underneath the oven racks. These glides are responsible for facilitating effortless movement and placement of racks during cooking.  

Over time, continued exposure to heat and grease buildup can cause glides to deteriorate or warp. A potential cause of bad glides is lack of proper cleaning, allowing residue to accumulate.
