Hong Kim whirpool uses plastic nuts. my new heating element does not fit in. Can i use any mental nuts to install the heating element into my dishwahser?
Answer A model number would have been more helpful, we haven't encountered this situation, yet and recommend you recheck the element mounting nuts for proper installation, or replace them with the proper appropriate part(s). If you decide to "use any mental nuts to install the heating element" you would want to use a brass nut, washer, and rubber seal to properly mount and seal the element to the tub. You'll also need to "match" the thread of the nut with the threads on the heater element. Thanks, Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, November 15, 2019
