By: Frigidaire
Part Number: OEM20351721
Manufacturer Part Number: 5304517325

The Ignitor is an OEM part for Frigidaire dryers. This part ignites the gas burner that generates the heat necessary for drying clothes.  Note: Part has been redesigned and is now a flat style ignitor instead of round ignitor.

Causes of a bad Ignitor can include wear and tear from regular use, electrical issues such as short circuits or power surges, and physical damage from debris or residue buildup.

Symptoms of a bad Ignitor include:

  • The dryer not heating up, leading to clothes remaining wet after a cycle
  • The ignitor not glowing or sparking when the dryer is turned on
  • Extended drying times due to insufficient heat production
  • The smell of gas without ignition, indicating a failure to light the burner

This OEM Frigidaire part is also compatible with Electrolux, Gibson, Kelvinator and some Kenmore models.

Carl for Model Number EIGD50LIWO

Hello Team, I have a dryer that dries intermittently. When I took apart, I could see the igniter was never glowing... I replaced the solenoids with parts from your company.... First test after replacement, no glow on igniter. Every test thereafter, igniter is working.... My question is , could the igniter be "partially" faulty? Or is a bad igniter an all or nothing deal? All diagnostics on dryer come back clean after putting back together (had some "spare" screws)... :) Tks much.

Answer

Hello Carl, you would need to test for 120vac at the burner assembly to locate the problem when it is not heating or the igniter not glowing, however, most likely based on the symptoms the radiant sensor 5303281135 on the side of the burner tube may be failing, if it does not close correctly there will be no power to the igniter..
