Carl for Model Number EIGD50LIWO Hello Team, I have a dryer that dries intermittently. When I took apart, I could see the igniter was never glowing... I replaced the solenoids with parts from your company.... First test after replacement, no glow on igniter. Every test thereafter, igniter is working.... My question is , could the igniter be "partially" faulty? Or is a bad igniter an all or nothing deal? All diagnostics on dryer come back clean after putting back together (had some "spare" screws)... :) Tks much.
Answer Hello Carl, you would need to test for 120vac at the burner assembly to locate the problem when it is not heating or the igniter not glowing, however, most likely based on the symptoms the radiant sensor 5303281135 on the side of the burner tube may be failing, if it does not close correctly there will be no power to the igniter..
