Bill L. for Model Number GLWS1439FS2 The leveling legs (AP2147545)move causing the washer to bounce and jump around. Previously,a leg came out completely. Is there any compound to hold the leg in place? When the washer starts to spin there is no way to adjust the load since the door locks.
Answer Hello Bill, If they keep going out of level, I would screw them all the way up against the bottom of the unit. If the unit needs leveled from that point, it can be done from one foot, (one of the two short feet). I have used cardboard between the top of the foot and the washer base. I like to use the type cardboard a shoebox is made from as it doesn't collapse under pressure. If it's too thin, folding it works great. There is no compound for this as if the floor settles, the unit may require readjustment. If you put anything on it like that, silicone would be the compound of choice as it can be easily removed without subsequent part damage. Read More...
