Manufacturer Part Number: 241552802

The Light Bulb is an OEM part for Frigidaire refrigerators. It is designed to provide illumination within the refrigerator, enhancing visibility and improving the ease of finding items.

Symptoms of a failing Light Bulb include:

  • Dimming or flickering of the light
  • The bulb not turning on when the refrigerator door is opened
  • Inconsistent performance, with the light intermittently working
  • A completely non-functioning bulb indicating a burnout

Causes of a bad light bulb can include a loosened connection due to the frequent opening and closing of the refrigerator door, age-related wear that leads to filament degradation, or a surge in electrical power.

This OEM replacement is also compatible with Electrolux, Gibson, Kelvinator, and Kenmore models.

Arneita for Model Number GLHT186JS2

My Frigidaire/Electrolux refrigerator model number: GLHT186JS2. I want to replace the bulbs (2) that have apparently burned out. Mine look exactly like Part # 241552802 (AP3770086), pictured here (blue, oblong, screw-in), however, the voltage imprinted on my bulb is 25T8N/130V-5 (not 120V). Also, my bulb doesn't look burned out, i.e. it's filaments are in tact and the bulb is not discolored in any way. 1. Is this the correct bulb? and 2. Could there be another problem besides the bulb itself?

Answer

Arneita, the bulb [241552802] (this will work for your model) can be tested for continuity by placing one probe to the threads of the bulb and the other probe to the bottom metal point of the bulb. If it has continuity it is good. If the bulb tests good, then you may want to test the light switch [241554901] which should have continuity when the button is pressed in.
