Marie for Model Number LFGF3022LWA When I turn the oven on , during what would've been the pre-heat time I kept waiting for the burner to light and although there was an orange glow it wasn't lighting , it was however defiantly leaking the gas so I quickly turned it off .I tried to use the oven again today but it did the same thing . What could the problem be ? Thank you for your help.
Answer Hello Marie. Test for 3.0-3.6 volts AC at the gas safety valve with the igniter turned on. If the voltage is there, you have a bad safety valve. If the voltage is low, you have a weak igniter and the igniter will need to be replaced. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
