Robin for Model Number PLGS389EC When I try to light the burner it takes a few minutes before the gas reaches the igniter. Would that be the gas pressure regulator?
Answer Hello Robin, Normally when a burner takes a long time to light, there has been a spill that has stopped up the little holes the gas comes out of. You could also have a bad ground to the ignitor to that burner and it may not be sparking as often as it should. Either way, you need to loosen and retighten the screws that attach the top and burners to the body of the unit and clean the burners up with an old toothbrush and a warm white vinegar solution. If it were the pressure regulator, this would occur on all of the burners, not just one. If you require any more assistance, please don't hesitate to repost. Read More...
