Jeri I have a older Gibson: (I don't know where to find the model number), but the stove temperature is all over the place. I looked for some sort of a thermostat that can control it, but haven't found one. Is there such a thing or what do I need?
Answer Hello Jeri, There are two ways used to control the temperature inside the bake compartment. One is with a standard thermostat with the copper tube leading to the bulb inside the bake compartment. The other way is with a temperature sensor and an electronic control board. It is impossible to say which one your unit uses or the part numbers of the parts without the model number. If you go to our website and look at the orange box you click on to "search" for your part or model, just to the right of it you will see the statement, "Help Me Find My Model Number", this will show you where to look to find the model number I.D. tag.
