Oscar for Model Number FPID2497RF6A My dishwasher leaks slightly on one side and I add splash shields to it. Doesn’t have them now, the seal looks good but the cost for a new seal is a lot. I was wondering if that would help or work.
Answer Oscar, the door will need to be inspected to ensure that it does not have any tension on the side leaking when it is being closed. This can cause the door to not seat properly against the seal and is commonly a sign that the dishwasher has become unleveled. Items that might be causing tension on the door when it is closed can create this issue as well. As the manufacturer does not list the splash shields as being used for your model, it can not be guaranteed to solve the leak. If the door has no tension, then the most likely issue is the door seal has worn and would need replacement. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, November 1, 2019
