Donna Matorin Lepard for Model Number FRT22IRSH Just purchased a couple of new retaining bars and a new bracket to replace a broken one in my freezer. My question is, do you know of a safe method to remove brackets without damaging the door and without damaging the brackets that are still in good shape? I think I need to remove the brackets to install the new retaining bars without bending them. Thanks!
Answer Donna, there are three tabs that hold the brackets in place. These tabs can be pressed in either by removing the liner and accessing from the back or by using a very small flat-head screwdriver from the front. With one side removed, the bracket can be placed into the support bar on the side that the bracket will need to be installed. From there, install the other side of the bar onto the bracket set on the liner and rotate the bracket that was previously set onto the support bar into the liner. Read More...
