K for Model Number GLGR341A4 Hi, The question I have is as follows, I was replacing the belt on my frigidaire dryer. Got ahead of myself,trying to save time and tested the dryer to make sure the belt was seated correctly. The two wires going to the inside lamp (which are also connected to the door switch by a single brown wire) touched, popped and I stopped the dyer by opening the door. , however now the dryer will not start. I don't know if it is just the door switch or if it could be that the dyers start switch shorted out. Any help that you can give is welcomed.
Answer Hello K. Test the start switch and see if it closes for continuity when pressed. If so, replace the timer on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
