Paul G for Model Number 417.81042000 Our dryer does not start when the start switch is pushed. The trouble started a few weeks ago, but with additional tries the dryer would eventually get going. Now it seems to be completely dead. I suspect either the start switch (easy to change) or the door switch. Is there a way to determine which is the problem? Is there a video on changing the door switch? Is there another likely culprit? Love the website. Thanks.
Answer Hello Paul. You need to test the push to start switch. If it is good, then most likely the motor is bad on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
