Manufacturer Part Number: 134813601

The Door Switch is an OEM part for Frigidaire dryers. This part ensures that the dryer operates safely by only allowing the machine to run when the door is completely closed. Positioned typically at the door frame, the switch activates when the door is shut, signaling the control system that it's safe to begin the cycle.

Over time, door switches can wear out or become damaged, which can interfere with the normal operation of the dryer.

Symptoms of a faulty Door Switch include:

  • The dryer not starting when the door is closed.
  • The dryer stopping unexpectedly, which might be due to a loose or faulty switch.
  • A lack of the usual "click" sound that indicates the door has latched properly, suggesting the switch isn’t engaging.
  • The dryer continuing to run when the door is opened, which poses a significant safety risk.

This OEM Frigidaire part is also compatible with Electrolux, Gibson, Kelvinator and some Kenmore models.
