Cheryl for Model Number 79096342504 Need to replace infinite switch because where the two wires connect together on middle left of switch got fried. It will be necessary to replace the clips. How hard will it be to replace these clips ? It also put a black burn mark on the white wire above it for the indicator light. can i just put some electrical tape on this wire since the light still works ? This is for the front left dual burner.
Answer Cheryl, None of the repairs you need to make are very difficult, you should be able to handle it easily. Just remember to turn the power off to the range before you start. You will need a "crimping tool" and wire cutters to replace the terminals (clips) that were damaged. These tools and terminals are available at your local hardware, automotive supply or home improvement center. and applying electrical tape to the damaged wire is an "authorized" repair. Read More...
