By: Frigidaire
Part Number: OEM13106412
Manufacturer Part Number: 134711200

This thermistor is the temperature-sensing component that feeds accurate readings to the appliance's control. Replacing a faulty sensor restores proper temperature feedback, helping the control run cycles correctly and reduce temperature-related performance issues. What it does:

  • Monitors temperature and changes resistance with temperature (NTC), sending a signal to the control board
  • Helps the control regulate heating or water-temperature management during operation
  • When open/shorted or out of range, can trigger temperature/sensor error codes
  • Symptoms include inconsistent temperatures, long run times, or cycles that won't complete
What's included:
  • 1 thermistor
Install notes:
  • Disconnect power before servicing; shut off gas/water supply if applicable
  • Access the sensor per your model; it's typically secured by a clip or screw and connects via a wire harness
  • Note wire orientation; avoid pulling on wires and ensure the connector is fully seated
  • After installation, clear any stored error codes and run a diagnostic or test cycle

Answer

Hello David. The main thing that causes this is poor venting on the dryer. You will need to check the vent and the internal duct on the dryer as well. The thermistor if defective can cause heat issues as well. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
