David for Model Number 41788042700 I just replaced the heating element in my dryer, which I have done twice before since owning it, everything seemed fine and everything light up like normal but when I started it, it tripped my fuse, and now it keeps tripping the fuse. I checked for continuity on the heating element, thermal fuse and thermal limitor, all are okay. I checked the thermistor and there was no continuity but it did register about 50 ohms, I don't know if there is supposed to be continuity. Do you have any ideas why this keeps tripping my fuse?
Answer David, You will want to make sure that the heating element is not touching the metal housing and that the rear bearing is also not touching the element. If either of these are occurring then this would cause the unit to trip the breaker. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, May 4, 2015
