Mark for Model Number AEQ7000ES1 My dryer heats for about 5-10 minutes and then the display shows a code of “Ad” indicates the auto dry cycle has been selected. The dryer control is trying to determine the needed dry time. I replaced the heating coil and cleaned all the lint from the dryer. Same results. I have to cycle the cloth 2-3 times to get them dry. I tested the Thermistor and it reads 38 ohms at 68 degrees. The Specs say that the resistance should be between 47K Ohm and 66K Ohm at room temperature (68-77° F). Would being 9 ohms off cause this issue? Should I replace the Thermistor?
Answer Mark, as the thermistor 134587700 is only reading 38O and is not reading 47,000 O, this would certainly indicate a failure with the thermistor especially if the resistance does not change with heat. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Tuesday, February 23, 2021
