Mike, you have to be carefull. You'll need a small flat bladed tool. Using the tool carefully insert it into the seam between the trim strip and the bottom of the handle and carefully push down on the strip. Push down on the trim strip, until the retainers inside the trim, disengage the mounting screws on the door panel. Pull the strip straight out and set it aside in a safe place. Thanks and good Luck
