Carol H for Model Number American Motors RF-34BW Need burner element for vintage stove. Thought it was a 7" element, but only see 6 and 8 " parts. Do you measure the full circle (which is 8") or just the burner element itself (which is 7") Model # is RF-34BW. Thanks for advising how to measure and where I can buy this element.
Answer Carol, You're on target, the opening in the stove top is the measurement to consider. They should be 6 or 8 inches in diameter, that's pretty common across all brands and models with coil or radiant cooktop elements.
