Steve for Model Number JMP28BOC1AD This is probably going to get kind of confusing! I know my Range/Stove model # JMP28BOC1AD is discontinued/OLD.not sure if that is an O or a zero in my model #? Anyways,my control board on the front has a hole in the UP TEMP(triangle button)and the plastic piece that contacts the circuit board is broken off. also, some of the other buttons are really hard to get to work now. if i want to bake something 350 or below, that will work, because IF the bake temp ever comes on,it defaults to 350 degrees, and once there you can go down, but no higher than 350,NEVER! then,i got on chat here and the person told me my model was discontinued. i need the oven control board part #WB27T10174,they said no,it's discontinued! they said WB27X23660 is the replacement board,it's discontinued also. so i did a search on that number here and found all the part numbers that it has replaced. so i just started searching each one of the part numbers on Ebay and this number came up on an auction,WB27T10190 KIT ERC IIIB was on a factory GE Label on the box that was not in the picture on Ebay(didn't know until i ordered it and it got here!) it came with a wiring harness(same plug, same wire colors as my WB27T10174)?and some jumper wires, and Retrofit Instructions for using control board WB27T10174 to make it like WB27K5306? SO I PUT THAT NUMBER IN THE SEARCH BAR HERE,AND IT ALSO CAME UP IN THE CROSS REFERENCE INFORMATION,so now my brain is fried! keep in mind,i have not even took the board out of the box yet,and i did e-mail the seller and ask him was the board used or new,he said it was new! so,now i take the Oven Control Board out of the box, remove bubble wrap, and sure enough,it was a BRAND NEW OVEN CONTROL BOARD.i turned the board sideways, and low and behold it has my ORIGINAL PART#WB27T10174 on the board? the seller didn't show that # nor was it in the item description, all it had in the item description was this>wb27t10190? my old control and the one i bought are IDENTICAL,so i don't need instructions, harness or jumpers. i just have to swap the two out, although i think i need one more part, the black clock plate for the front controls? WB27K5337 GE Range Clock Plate-Black. i think it just sticks/glues to the front of my new board? correct me if i am wrong, please.i think i just got lucky!?
Answer Steve, The part number for the clock plate will be WB27K5337 and yes it sounds as though you got very lucky with the find because normally when a part is discontinued you will not locate a new one. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, March 31, 2017
