Lala for Model Number cfe29tsdcss I have the GE cafe fridge. The deli drawer was freezing things and the rest of the fridge was warmer than usual. We changed the damper fan assembly this morning. About 2 hours ago, the fridge was 57*. Now it is 61*. What do we do now? There was some ice built up on the coils that were revealed when we disassembled the parts necessary to change the fan. I don’t know if those need to be thawed, or something different. Please help. Thank you!
Answer Hello Lala, first give it a few more hours, this is a dual evaporator model and the sealed system cools one section than the other. If still not cooling in the ref section be sure the fan you installed is running, if still same then access the evaporator coil and defrost it, check all wire harnesses are connected, reassemble and again give it a few hours.
