Steve for Model Number SCB1000KBB01 Advantium 120 (SCB1000KBB01) display was faint and flickering. Replaced Wb27X10856 and WB27X10858. Display bright but displaying random characters and non-characters; displayed function instructions unreadable. Put original parts back in and now won't display anything accept the bottom row (Turn Dial, Timer, etc.). Tested resistance on WB17X10021: White-Black: 22.7; Yellow-White: 4.1; Red-Brown: 0.7. Planned to purchase WB27X10861 and WB17X10021; however, everywhere I look, WB17X10021 is out of stock and apparently discontinued by manufacturer. Are these readings too far out of tolerance requiring replacement of the transformer, and if so, are you aware of a manufacturer's substitution part number or a source for this part?
Answer Steve, the resistance of the transformer WB17X10021 is too far out of range and would need to be replaced. Unfortunately, as the manufacturer has discontinued this part and there has not been an approved compatible part listed by the manufacturer, we would not be able to recommend an alternative.
