Bill for Model Number Gld4560n00ss I saw in a post on the heating element that the resistance should be around 21. I am using a multimeter with range from 200, 2K, 20K, 200k, 2M, and 20M. When i use the 200 setting (lowest setting), I get 15 ohms. My dishes aren't dry and the water is cold when I open it up in mid cycle. Does this mean my heating element is bad? I put the tester on continuity and it buzzed and gave me a reading of 9. Hate to spend $60 if I am buying the wrong part. Thanks.
Answer Bill, With the resistance showing as 15 when it is supposed to be at 21 ohms would be caused by a bad heating element. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, February 12, 2014
