Jeff N for Model Number zbd0710k10ss The dishwasher is not drying, I have checked continuity in the heating element and it checks out fine no open circuit, but does not get hot. the vent flap motor rotates the flap at the beginning of the dry cycle. The vent blower motor did not come on during the dishwasher cycle.
Answer Jeff, You will want to check power at the main control board on the J2 connector from pins 5 to pin 9 for 120 vac. If there is 120 vac then check the wiring down from the control board to the heating element. Do a continuity test of the wires. If there is continuity then the wires are good and if there is no continuity then you would need to repair or replace the wiring. If the wiring test good then the heating element WD05X10010 would be the issue and need to be replaced. If the control board does not have 120 vac on the J2 connector between pins 5 and 9 then the control WD21X10222 is faulty and would need to be replaced. Read More...
