John G. for Model Number GSD6660G02SS Reference to the last answer I received from the expert. The flood switch blows immediately when power is applied, and the "Start" button is pressed. By "Blowing the flood switch", i mean that you actually hear an audible "POP"! As I have removed the unit from my kitchen and have it back in my garage, I'm going to bypass the switch with a circuit breaker, and attempt more troubleshooting. Everything ohms out good...even the solenoid (water in), so, I guess my work is cut out for me! Yes, the harness has been checked....the only thing I haven't tried is going back to the original water in solenoid, as that was the very first item I replaced (New from the manufacturer). Even though it ohms out, Impedance is another story. Guess the next obvious question is...could it have anything to do with the keyboard? Thanks for showing interest...this failure IS a dozy!
Answer Hi John. If You are referring to the over-flow switch, then shut off breaker (in your breaker panel) for safety. Then make sure your tub overflow switch wires are isolated and not shorting out. Make sure they are tight on the switch terminals also. It would make better sense now possibly your water valve coil is shorted. The water valve part # is WD15X10003. The overflow switch part # is WD12X10151.Thank you. Read More...
