This door switch is an OEM replacement part for GE dryers. This switch is designed to promptly end the dryer cycle when the door is opened. The switch comes equipped with a metal lever arm and plunger that can be depressed to activate the switch.

Causes of a bad door switch can include normal wear over time from repetitive open/close cycles. Exposure to moisture, food drips or cleaning chemicals may also contribute to switch failure. 

Symptoms of a bad door switch are:
