Andy for Model Number GE PDW9980NSS Looking for the correct part to solve problem of the tub not draining. House plumbing is just fine. I have cleaned the tub, including removing the sump filter etc. Wondering is it a pump issue or is there an internal filter somewhere in the dishwasher at the pump intake?
Answer Hello Andy. You will need to check and see if the drain hose is stopped up. If it is clear, test and make sure there is power coming to the pump assembly. If so, and the pump does not drain, you will need to replace the pump assembly WD35X10064. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter.
