Philip for Model Number gsc3200 I replaced the timer today only to find out that when I re-assembled the inside panel, the detergent cup filler cap will not lock into place. The spring is doing it's job but am I supposed to hold the cap shut when putting the panel back, and ,if so, how do you line it up with the arm? Thanks - Philip
Answer Phillip, You did remember to transfer the timer cam WD16X10007 from the original timer to the replacement timer, correct ? and it is installed on the timer shaft properly. This is the mechanism that activates the lever that locks and unlocks the detergent cup and rinse dispenser. If the cam is missing, or installed wrong, the mechanism won't operate. Read More...
