Linda W. for Model Number JVM1860BF001 Selected the "2 Express Cook" to heat water. Heard a popping sound. The microwave continued on as if everything was fine. The water did not heat. Further attempts, sounded like everything was working, no heated water. Did the fuse blow (GE AP2631556, diagram position 74), or something else? Thank you
Answer Hello Linda, This unit will have to be opened to determine if this is a high voltage problem or a low voltage problem. This can be a door switch, control board, high voltage transformer, high voltage diode, magnetron, etc... You will either need a test meter and the wiring diagram or a technician. Because of the high tension voltage involved with microwaves, it can be dangerous for both the test equipment and the testing individual. Read More...
