Terry M for Model Number CVM2072SM3SS After 5 years and 1 month the touch pad on our microwave stopped working. Viewed you-tube video on cleaning contacts on touch pad circuit board. Tried to clean contacts on ribbons but it did not solve the problem. I see there are two inline fuses above the touch pad housing. If I remove the fuses should I have continuity between both ends? Can I check the fuses without removing them? They do not appear to be clear so cannot tell if they are burnt out. If burnt out should they be brown or black?
Answer Hello Terry. The fuses should read closed for continuity. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
