Chip for Model Number JVM1661WB001 Greetings. Both of my lights blew out on the bottom of the microwave. When I went to unscrew them, they were both stuck, and the bulbs came out without the metal base. But, the first one sparked when it came loose. So I unplugged the oven and attempted once again to remove the base. I broke the socket on the first one. I replaced the socket with a GE factory part and bought new bulbs, being careful to not screw them in too tight. They do not work. I see from the schematic that there is a fuse on the circuit board. Everything else on the oven works as it should. I am afraid I roasted the circuit that lights the bulbs. Intuition tells me that the fuse does not only control the lights... Please tell me I am wrong.
Answer Hi Chip. Your power for the lights are from the main control board part # WB49X20238. In this area you will access a wiring diagram that is folded in a packet. Make sure that you check the complete circuit wire and connectors as you go back to the control board. Make sure they are not pinched and the connectors are clean and tight, not burnt. Thank You.
