Gilbert M. for Model Number GE spacemaker 2.0 JVM2070SK02 I heard a loud pop and then my microwave did not work. Even circuit breaker (kichen side) was off. Can I fix it or do I buy the exact same model to use the microwave with oven as one set for the ventilation ?
Answer Hi Gilbert. Remove the cover. I would use a volt/ohm meter part # MA-DM1 to assist. you in your diagnosis. In line after the power cord there is a fuse part # WB27X10928. The ohm meter on the R x 1 scale, the fuse will read 0-ohms good. It will read infinity (too large of a reading) - open. As you have it open carefully look for black shorted areas where the part failed and shorted to ground. Do not touch the capacitor as it is charged electrically (DEADLY). Look at the control board. Part # WB27X10900. There is a noise filter/ fuse board part # WB02X11244. It has 2- fuses.Thank You. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, April 18, 2012
