By: Ge
Part Number: OEM6036069
Manufacturer Part Number: WB2X6547

Replacement refrigerator door gasket that restores a tight seal to help maintain proper cooling and reduce frost and moisture buildup. Fits the door channel to stop warm-air leaks and improve overall temperature stability. What it does:

  • Seals the refrigerator door perimeter to keep cold air in and warm air out.
  • Helps reduce frost and ice buildup inside the compartment.
  • Can reduce condensation and uneven cooling caused by a worn or damaged seal.
  • Common symptoms of a failing gasket: warm spots, excess frost, visible gaps around the door, or higher-than-normal energy use.
What's included: One (1) door gasket. Install notes:
  • Unplug the appliance and remove food from the door area before beginning work.
  • Clean and dry the gasket channel and door surface; align the gasket and press it fully into the channel for an even seal.
  • If the gasket is stiff, gently warming it can make installation easier—avoid excessive heat.
  • Confirm this part number matches your appliance model before installing.

Hi. Remove the door and place it on a protected table top. Place it open side up. You have to un-layer it starting from the sides and the handle nuts and screws. Lay them all aside so you know how to reassemble them. The same holds true to all the inside parts one at a time. When replacing the door gasket part # WB2X6547, make sure it is layed flat and not twisted so it forms and seals properly. The ends of the door seal lay inside the door. Lay all glass one at a time so they are placed inside the door exactly as removed. Make sure the window seal is not kinked so it seals against the glass. Thank You.
