James S for Model Number JRP24GOP1BG The outer black glass broke on the upper oven of this high-end older model GE Wall Oven set. It appears the outer black glass is no longer available but one that is the same door frame dimensions is available --owing the fact the drilled holes in the glass to hold the door handle are different. Question #1: Can the glass in your Part No. WB57K5258 be drilled to create holes in the correct/matching handle area, or is the glass 'Tempered' which means it will shatter when drilled. [The glass has not reference on it as to 'tempered glass'. Question #2: If the door glass is not available, then are these part numbers on your diagram available so I can change the frame, the handles, and the handle attachments? Diagram numbers 140--Frame [23 5/8 in x 19 in]; number 397 & 136 --handle center part and handle right & left connecting parts; 918 plastic space/plug to hold glass firm within the frame. I have tried various methods to cross reference the diagram number to a part number, but your system display appears to not have this compatibility. So, to fresh my intention, if I can't locate the glass, then I want to explore replacing the frame and handle so the oven is usable again as all new ovens are wider than the existing cabinet space and I would need replace all cabinets to the wall just for a new oven. Regards, James
Answer Hello James, The oven door glass WB57K5256 will not work with your product. The glass is approximately the same dimensions but as you stated the handle holes are not in the same place. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, January 17, 2013
