Mike for Model Number JB840TP1WW Handle cracked. I got as far as the two top screws which hold the outer door on. For replacing the handle, does the entire front door panel need to come off? I saw some screws at the very bottom when the door was fully opened. I am just not sure what I need to unscrew here. Thanks
Answer Mike, According to the diagram it appears that there may be 2 screws on the interior of the door that you would have to remove if the upper screws did not allow the handle to come off. To do this you would need to open the door fully and there is a swing arm on the hinge that you will need to raise up that when you close the door it will stop the door from closing all the way. Once this is done you will then push up on the door and lift the door off. Then remove the front panel and you should be able to access the screws to replace the door handle. Read More...
