Ssahu for Model Number GFD45GSSM0WW Hi, I have GE Gas dryer from 2019 and suddently it stopped heating. It runs like normal cycle but there is no heat at all. I already changed igniter and WE4M398 Inlet Control Thermistor. I can see igniter turning on through mirror. Do you think its an issue with Gas Valve and pipe assembly (WE14M114)?
Answer Hello SShu, the ignitor should brightly glow for a short time and the heat from it is then detected by the Heat Detector (flame sensor) WE4X448 which opens the circuit to the ignitor and allows full power to the gas valve to open, if the ignitor is just glowing steadily then the detector is faulty.
