Andy C for Model Number wwse5240g2ww Washer just stopped agitating while in a wash cycle. Motor is free not siezed; turned the pulley by hand. Belt is on and OK. The motor LED is not lit at all. Washer did pump out the water when I moved the cycle knob to the drain position. After the water drained out, the top panel cycle indicator moved to the spin position, but the tub doesn't move at all. Is this the fuse link and exactly where is it located and what am I looking for? Is it up under the lid cover, or nearer the motor connector. I have a DVM to check continuity. Thanks. Andy
Answer Andy, Heres the test procedure for an open in line fuse "The fuse is 10-amp, non-resetable and wired in the neutral side of the line. Always check the harness fuse using an ohmmeter from white/red wire on motor connector to neutral on power cord." it should read a "closed" circuit on a meter. If the fuse is OK, you'll need to observe the LED light on the motor control, and determine if the light flashes and how many flashes if at all. Read More...
