Booth I have a profile ge gas range. Soon after I bought it the thin metal veneers on all the knobs began to wrinkle and peel off. Now, they are all a wreck. I spray painted them to look better, but that doesn't look good either. Why are they so expensive? They seem to be very junkie. I would love my stove to look better, but is there any other solution than paying $160 plus for and have these new knobs do the same thing?
Answer Booth, unfortunately we would not be able to recommend a way to re-finish the knobs [WB03T10266]. The stainless finish should not easily wrinkle and peel as the items are designed to be indirectly near heat. As far as why the components are made as they are, this would be a question that would have to be asked to the manufacturer. The pricing notated on the parts are based on a competitive pricing in comparison to multiple examples. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, March 29, 2019
