This replacement orifice spud for the cooktop surface burner threads into the orifice holder to meter gas flow, helping ensure proper flame size and reliable ignition for consistent cooking performance. What it does:

  • Meters gas flow to the surface burner through a calibrated opening
  • Helps produce stable, properly sized flames for even cooking
  • Replace if the original spud is clogged, stripped, or damaged
  • Common symptoms include weak/low or no flame, yellow/orange flames, uneven heating, or delayed ignition
What's included:
  • 1 orifice spud
Install notes:
  • Turn off the gas supply and disconnect power; allow the appliance to cool completely
  • Remove grates, burner caps, and burner heads to access the orifice holder
  • Use the correct spud for the specific burner position and gas type per your model documentation
  • Start threads by hand and tighten snugly without overtightening; after reassembly, check for leaks with a soapy-water solution and verify ignition and flame

Blanca, the conversion kit WB28K10046 would be used with the model number provided. Unfortunately, the manufacturer discontinued this kit, and it is no longer available. However, the LP orifice WB28K10023 can be used for the surface burners after turning the gas supply off. The bake and broil orifice hoods would need to be tightened 2 full turns or until just snug (do not overtighten as this can damage the orifices) and the regulator would need to be adjusted by flipping the pin found just under the brass cap.
