Cappy for Model Number jbp67b0h1wh This looks like the replacement element for my range. Are any other parts needed to do the replacement? Are replacement instructions included?
Answer Cappy, You do have the correct part number for your bake element. It would not come with an instruction sheet. It's a fairly easy repair. Turn power off to the range at the breaker box. Open or remove oven door and racks, Remove the two screws(one in each bracket)that attach the element bracket to the back wall of the oven cavity, slowly and carefully slide the element assembly out towards you, far enough that the wire terminal connections are visible and accessible, disconnect the wires from the original element, do not allow the wires to recede back into the opening or you'll need to "fish" them out or remove the range and back panel to access them inside the cabinet, Reverse the procedure and test the element for heat and operation.
