Grace for Model Number JBP64BH2CT I am looking to replace the cook top on this electric stove. The GE parts website says the part is no longer available. Is there a compatible part that might be available. My son just purchased a house and this stove was left behind but the cooktop could use replacing as it doesn't come clean with scrubbing. Can you help?
Answer Hello Grace, once a manufacturer discontinues a part it is is no longer available and there is no substitute part that will work in its place, that being said as long as the smoothtop cooktop is not actually broken but only heavily stained (burned on spills, etc,) it can usually be cleaned with a product like WB64X5027 and a lot of elbow grease.
